Melikalikimaka

Heyy! I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas! I sure did!

My week was full of the highs and lows hahaha this Christmas season has been CrAzY busy but so much fun!

It was a BIG WEEK.
Tatiana got baptized!!!!!!!! It was the best!!! I am so so so so happy for her!! It was a bit of a small gathering because all of the ysa is home for the holidays, but the spirit was so strong and her smile was so big and I just feel blessed to have gotten to witness her journey coming closer Christ. She has the most desire than anyone I know to just learn, and to do what is right.
Also our friend Chamisa from the ysa went through the temple!! Honestly I was stressing about this one more than the baptism cause homegirl was also stressed. But!! She did it!! She overcame her fears and trusted in the Lord 💪🏽SO PROUD OF HER. She is so funny and sweet, we were waiting outside the temple for her, and when she came out she ran to me and was like "Sister Evans I did it!!!! When's the next session I want to go again" We were laughing and crying and just hugging. Someone got a picture of it😂

But wow I can testify of the power of the temple. If you haven't been in a while you've gotta go cause you'll feel God's love strongest there!

CHRISTMAS EVEE
Holy smokes.
I constantly ask Heavenly Father why he sent me here because my social capacity is being stretched to its limits.
We had 1030 people come in to the visitors center Christmas eve😵‍💫
Oh myyyy😭😭😭
So many miracles I don't even know where to start. Even just that many people itself is a miracle. I'm going to miss talking about the Christs birth with people. All the different languages, all the different cultures. It amazes me how we are all so different but the spirit connects us in a way no other language can.

The Atonement is real. It changes you. I am so grateful for God's plan for me and all of us and His hand in our lives that gives us courage to repent. Repentance is joy!! Because we have a loving Heavenly Father, and a Savior that already paid the price for us.

Also don't say melikalikimaka to tongans because they will make fun of you

Have a great week(s?) You're all in my prayers:)

Sister Evans
